A Detonated Pageant

I shuddered in
silent disbelief
when I first saw it,
crudely strapped

buzzing sound,
that was obvious,
If anyone was willing
to pause and listen.
If they did,
they would have feared they
would never hear
another sound
more fatal to
their pageantry.
